What is infrared heating?
Infrared heating is a heating system that can be used as both primary and auxiliary heating. The infrared panels use long-wave infrared radiation (IR-C) to heat the environment, people, objects, and indirectly the ambient air.
The rays are similar to the sun's rays, but without the UV rays. You reach a comfortable temperature faster, even though the air temperature is lower.
The heating system is simple to install and requires no maintenance. Our panels have a beautiful design, with a frame around them. All Ecowelle infrared panels are designed to be mounted on the wall and ceiling. Only a wall socket or power connection is needed.
Infrared heating can therefore be used in almost all situations, from a well-insulated living room to a poorly insulated garage.
Using thermostats, the heating can be easily set to the desired temperature and desired time.

Difference from traditional convection heaters
The difference between infrared heating and convection heating lies in the air. Infrared heating does not heat the air, but objects. This prevents air circulation and therefore also prevents dust, dust mites, pollen, and bacteria from being stirred up.
The warming of walls and objects by infrared radiation also causes an additional increase in perceived temperature of 2 to 3 degrees. Because the perceived temperature is higher, the thermostat can be set 2 to 3 degrees Celsius lower with an Ecowelle infrared heater. And because the perceived temperature is different from conventional heating, energy savings are immediately realized through this effect. At a low temperature, it is still comfortable and pleasantly warm.

Disadvantages of convection heating
- Moist air condenses on the walls, causing mold to form and damaging the plaster.
- The circulating air in the room causes dust to swirl.
- Temperature differences in the room cause bothersome drafts.
- The air needs to be 2-3 degrees C warmer to feel comfortable.
