Privacy Policy
About our privacy policy
Infraredcomfort cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we exclusively process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We will never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Infraredcomfort. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 06/29/2026; the publication of a new version will invalidate all previous versions. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, how this data is used, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data from misuse, and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.
If you have questions about our privacy policy, please contact our privacy contact person; you will find their contact details at the end of our privacy policy.
Purpose of data processing
General purpose of processing
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use that data to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we will explicitly ask for your permission. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy by virtue of the agreement between them and us, or by an oath or legal obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation with fiscal and criminal investigations
Where applicable, Infraredcomfort may be legally obligated to share your data in connection with official tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we will be forced to share your data, but we will resist doing so within the limits permitted by law.
Retention periods
We retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means we will retain your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also interpret it as a request to be forgotten. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices with your (personal) data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees will no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced in response to your order.
Your rights
Under current Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies and duplicates of your data to your already known email address. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or by post, for example, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain records of handled requests; in the case of a deletion request, we record anonymized data. You will receive all duplicates and copies of data in the machine-readable data format used within our systems. You have the right at any time to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.
Inheritance right
You always have the right to view the data that we process (or have processed) concerning you or that can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on file for you, along with an overview of the processors holding this data, specifying the category under which we have stored this data.
Right of rectification
You always have the right to have the data processed by us that relates to you or can be traced back to you, amended. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been amended to the email address known to us.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the processing of data relating to you or that can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file for you, stating that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to transferability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) concerning you or that can be traced back to you, transferred to another party. You can submit a request with this intention to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf, to the e-mail address known to us. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing the service in such a case, as the secure connection of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right of objection and other rights
In such cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Infraredcomfort. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make available to you any data that we process (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe that this is the case, please contact our privacy officer.
