How does an infrared panel with a picture work?
An infrared panel converts electrical energy into infrared radiation. This radiation does not heat the air, but directly heats people, furniture, floors, and walls. As a result, the heat feels comfortably warm immediately and creates an even temperature in the room. The image on the panel does not affect its operation or heat output.
Is an infrared panel suitable as a primary heating source?
Yes, in many situations, an infrared panel can serve excellently as a primary heating source. This depends particularly on the insulation of the home, the size of the room, and the chosen power output. In well-insulated homes, infrared heating offers a comfortable and efficient solution. We would be happy to advise you on the correct power output for your specific situation.
Can I also use an infrared panel as auxiliary heating?
Certainly. Many customers use an infrared panel as an additional heat source in, for example, a home office, sunroom, bathroom, or hobby room. This way, you only heat the room you are in, without having to heat the entire house.
What power do I need?
The required power depends on various factors, such as:
- the surface of space;
- the insulation of the house;
- ceiling height;
- the number of windows;
- whether the panel is used as main or auxiliary heating.

Can I have my own photo printed?
Yes. You can use your own photo or print an image on the infrared panel. For example, think of a family photo, vacation photo, company logo, or artwork. For the best result, we recommend a high-resolution image. Before production starts, we will check if the quality is sufficient.
Does the image discolor or fade over time?
No. The images are applied using high-quality HD printing techniques and are resistant to the heat emitted by the panel. With normal use, the image will remain beautiful and colorfast for years.
Does the panel get very hot?
An infrared panel heats up during use, but does not become glowing hot like some traditional electric heaters. The surface temperature depends on the model and its wattage. The heat is evenly distributed over the panel and is intended to provide comfortable infrared warmth.
| Surface temperature | 75-125 °C (with overheat protection) |
Is an infrared panel safe?
Yes. Our infrared panels meet the applicable European safety standards and are designed for safe daily use. When installed correctly, they can be used for extended periods in homes, offices, and other indoor spaces without any problems.
Can I install an infrared panel myself?

Can I mount the panel on the ceiling?
Yes. You can also mount the panel on the ceiling.
Do I need a thermostat?
A thermostat is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended. This allows you to automatically regulate the desired temperature and only heat when necessary. This increases comfort and helps to limit energy consumption.
Does a smart thermostat work with infrared panels?
Yes. Many of our thermostats are programmable or WiFi-enabled. This allows you to easily set heating schedules and control the temperature via an app on your smartphone or tablet.
Does an infrared panel consume a lot of electricity?
The power consumption depends on the panel's power output and the duration of use. A 600-watt panel consumes a maximum of 0.6 kWh per hour when heating continuously at full power. In practice, a thermostat automatically switches off the panel once the desired temperature is reached, often resulting in lower average energy consumption.
Is infrared heating energy-efficient?
Infrared heating directly heats people and objects instead of.
Is infrared heating suitable for new build homes?
Yes. Thanks to the excellent insulation of modern homes, infrared heating is often an interesting solution. In many cases, it can serve as the main heating system, depending on the heat loss of the home.
Does an infrared panel require maintenance?
Virtually none. You only need to dust the panel occasionally with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. No other periodic maintenance is required.
Does an infrared panel make noise?
No. An infrared panel works completely silently. There are no fans, pumps, or other moving parts.

What is the difference between short-wave and long-wave infrared?
Short wave (IR-A)Â is mainly used for outdoor spaces and industrial applications. This radiation is more intense and you feel it directly.
Long wave (IR-C)Â is used in homes. These panels emit a soft, comfortable warmth that is suitable for long-term indoor use.
Infraredcomfort works exclusively with safe and efficient long-wave infrared technology.
Is infrared heating suitable for commercial use?
